Product overview
Heart Tracker Pro is a powerful tool designed to improve the health and mitigate the impact of stress on the human body. The training system is based on using the positive effects of paced breathing that augments respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA). The Heart Tracker Pro training assists the body’s ability for self-regulation and stabilization. Paced breathing and RSA biofeedback training is a special physiological functional exercise that positively impacts the autonomic regulatory function.
The short-term effect of the exercise is stress relief and relaxation. Continued use will assist to improve your client's muscular and mental relaxation, lower blood pressure and strengthen the immune system. The long-term benefits of regularly performing the breathing exercise is the direct improvement of the overall health condition.
Heart Tracker Pro Software
The Heart Tracker Pro software was developed according to the standards and mathematical procedures for short-term HRV analysis set forth by The European Society of Cardiology and The North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology (1996).
The Heart Tracker Pro software provides all means to do the following:
- Create an maintain client records
- Configure RSA training sessions
- Conduct new RSA training session according to preset configuration
- Obtain visual feedback by displaying live breath pacer, heart rate graph, training score graph, etc.
- Obtain auditory feedback representing breath pacer (continuous sond changing its pitch)
- Obtain auditory feedback representing current level of the training score (specific WAV file is played when score hits certain range
- Display training summary report upon completion of the training session to show recorded data and achievement in this session
- Store recorded training session in client's database record
- Retrieve results of selected training session and display them in the form of summary report
- Print summary report
- Show training progress report across all sessions performed for selected client
- Export training results in Excel file format
Most of the body's functions are controlled by the autonomic nervous system through its sympathetic and parasympathetic branches providing stimulating and calming effects respectively. Paced breathing acts as an “exercise workout” targeting baroreflex mechanism directly involved in the body self-regulation. Deep slow breathing causes significant synchronous changes in blood pressure inside of human chest due to respective changes in chest volume. This process stimulates autonomic nervous system to compensate changes in blood pressure and causes rhythmic reflexive changes in heart rate.
Heart Tracker key benefits:
- Trains for stress reduction and enhancement of the autonomic regulatory function
- Displays live heart rate graph and its power spectrum
- Live breathing pacer with fully adjustable breath cycle pattern
- Tracking achieved training scores
- Evaluation of training focus for sustained results
- Audio and visual rewards for stress reduction and RSA reinforcement
- Comprehensive detailed RSA training reports

Using Device Right
Heart Tracker Pro Hardware
The Heart Tracker Pro supports the following devices:
- Biocom HRM-02 pulse wave sensor
- Biocom 3000 ECG recorder
- ActiveECG® recorder (ActiveECG® is a trademark of Active Corporation)
|

|
Biocom HRM-02 is an ear-clip pulse wave sensor connected to PC via USB port. |
|

|
Typically the ear-clip should be placed on earlobe. |
|

|
In some cases when earlobe placement does not give good pulse wave signal the ear-clip can be placed on a finger. |
|

|
Biocom 3000 ECG recorder is connected to PC via standard USB port.
Unlike many other ECG devices, Biocom 3000 unit is as simple in use as pulse wave sensor. |
|

|
Biocom 3000 ECG recorder includes a signal cable with two electrode pads to be placed on wrists of both hands secured with elastic wristbands.
This ECG cable utilizes special large dry ECG electrodes that can be used many times. |
|

|
ActiveECG device is a single-channel ECG recorder from Active Corporation.
This device uses standard off-the-shelf pre-gelled ECG electrodes providing ultimate quality of ECG recording.
The electrodes can be placed on both wrists or chest.
The ECG electrodes are disposable, so it will be customer's responsibility to obtain them.
The standard inexpensive ECG electrodes can also be purchased from Biocom Technologies. |
